Framing

Structural timber framing — the skeleton that holds everything together. Post-and-beam, rafters, load-bearing walls, and the joinery that makes a house stand for generations.

Mountain Ridge Timber Frame

Mountain Ridge Timber Frame

A full post-and-beam frame for a 2,400 sq ft mountain home. Douglas fir throughout, with hand-cut mortise-and-tenon joinery at every connection. The king post truss in the great room spans 28 feet without intermediate support — held together by wood and geometry, no steel plates.

Barn Raising — Cooper Farm

Barn Raising — Cooper Farm

Traditional barn frame using reclaimed white oak. The original barn stood on the property for 90 years before a storm took it. We salvaged every usable timber, re-milled what we could, and raised the new frame in three days with a crew of eight. The wood remembers its first life.
